Important things to note before you submit to us

Print Submissions

Each year, we have one open call for submissions for our annual print edition. Since we receive a high volume of submissions during this time, we are not able to respond to all submissions. If you don’t hear from us 6-8 weeks after your submission, please contact us or resubmit in the following year.

Each year, we have an overall topic/theme for the magazine. Before submitting, please make sure you get familiar with our overall topic for the upcoming print issue. Check the open call post on our Instagram account for details.

Online Submissions

We accept submissions year-round for online features. We accept submissions in the categories listed above as well as around our overall theme for the year. You can expect a reply to your online submission in 1-2 weeks.

All Submissions

Please make sure that you share original content that has not been copy and pasted from other interviews, vlogs, podcasts or something else.

All perspectives are those of the authors. The publication might deny submissions that are not aligned with the values of our magazine.

Photography and word count guidelines

We accept pitches for interviews, essays, and visual stories as well as completed content. Please send pitches to hello@soulbasemag.me. If submitting complete content for consideration, please submit the text and imagery together. Please send all imagery and content to hello@soulbasemag.me via Dropbox or WeTransfer.

Before submitting visual content or photos of the interior of a space, please acquire the permission of the photographer and the location to use the imagery for commercial/marketing and print purposes. We only accept and publish imagery that holds permission for print usage.

Please send the names of all photographers, stylists, architects, designers or other important names to credit related to your submission.

Our print edition is printed on U.S. Letter Size (8.5x 11 inches) paper. Please make sure that you send the right resolution and sizing when submitting. The bigger the better for print! We only accept imagery with a minimum of 1 MB.
