Sabin Guest House
A Modern Oasis in the Heart of Portland, Crafted by Ben Shook Studios
The Sabin Guest House was built in 2019 by lead contractor Ben Shook of Ben Shook Studios. The goal was to create a guest house that fit in with the neighborhood while still feeling modern and unique. The orientation was carefully planned to maximize natural light and create the illusion of more space. The exterior mural, designed and painted by the owner, is inspired by 80s road bike style and adds character to the house.
Inside, the focus was on creating a warm, relaxing environment for guests. The space was designed to be efficient and thoughtful, with every inch serving a purpose. The Sabin neighborhood is a short walk from shops and restaurants on Alberta and North Williams, making it an ideal location for exploring Portland.
The guest house is best suited for couples or single travelers who want to be close to the action and explore the city on foot, bike, or transit. Dogs are welcome, but the kitchen is not designed for elaborate cooking. Guests can expect personalized service and recommendations for the best spots in Portland. The living room is the owner's favorite spot, with morning sunlight streaming through the front windows, making it a peaceful place to start the day.
If you're looking for a comfortable, modern guest house in the heart of Portland, the Sabin Guest House is the perfect choice.
