Landdd :
Where Creativity Finds a Home, and Inspiration Breathes in Every Corner
There are places that capture your attention instantly, sitting in the front row of your mind, always beckoning you to return. And then there are places that, once found, make you pause. You feel torn between shouting their discovery from the rooftops and keeping them secret—like a favorite book that lifts your spirits, fuels your dreams and evokes nostalgia, even if you only visit for a brief moment each day.
The creative space of Javier Reyes and Lillian Hardy is one of those rare places.

Their Portland studio, Landdd, is a showroom, gallery, workshop space and creative studio all wrapped into one. We came across their work online a few times, intrigued by the unique workshops they host with an array of talented artists and creatives. Their space seemed to hold something special, something more than just an ordinary gallery or studio. It felt like a place where creativity breathes, where every detail is intentional.
One Saturday morning, while on our way to another event, we stumbled upon this hidden gem by sheer coincidence. The showroom was in the midst of preparing for their upcoming kite workshop, and though the space was in transition, its allure was undeniable.
Situated in a brick building near the North Park Blocks in Central Portland, close to the train station, Landdd feels like a world apart. Stepping in from the vibrant street outside, the loft-like space with exposed brick walls and high ceilings transports you into a different mindset.
It’s more than just the architecture; it’s the seamless intersection between a creative studio, a thoughtfully curated showroom and an interactive gallery. As soon as you enter, your eyes are treated to a feast of colors and textures. Woven art hangs beside paintings, while a massive installation of speakers commands attention in the open space. And yet, nothing feels overwhelming. The layout allows the space to breathe, inviting you to explore each corner, where every piece seems to shine on its own.
We found ourselves torn between wanting to keep this place a secret and feeling the need to share it with others. Ultimately, it felt like a tribute to discovering loft-style spaces in the city, and a shoutout to Javier and Lillian for creating something so unique.
As they explain, "Workshops are our way to connect with the community and share the creative process from artists and friends who inspire us. Every detail matters in these experiences, and we try to keep it intentional—to set up the space in a way that helps unlock creative freedom for anyone who takes a seat."
Their work is deeply rooted in collaboration. Having formed Landdd in August 2022, Javier and Lillian blend their experiences as artists in Oaxaca de Juárez and the Pacific Northwest, offering a research-based approach to design and creative production. They work on private commissions for commercial and residential clients and produce seasonal collections of objects, textiles and campaigns that celebrate the narratives of their respective cultures.
"From working closely with master artisans across Mexico to leading creative teams with commercial agencies," they note, "our work is fundamentally rooted in a collaborative ethos."
Their upcoming workshop with Peaches Studio is just one example of how Landdd continues to connect with the community and push the boundaries of creative expression.
If you're curious to see more, their social media and newsletter are the best ways to stay in the loop. And if you’re lucky enough to stumble upon Landdd as we did, take a moment to let it sink in—you’ve found a rare gem, a place where creativity comes alive and every detail invites you to dream.
